FAQ
Common questions, straight answers.
Manual schedule import, how your data is protected, and pricing — the things every pilot asks before they sign up.
Can SkyBuddy pull my schedule automatically?
No — and that’s deliberate. SkyBuddy never connects to your airline’s crew portal, never stores airline credentials, and never automates anything against your employer’s systems. You import your schedule yourself, from a copy you’ve already exported through channels your airline permits — PDF, screenshot, paste, or CSV. This keeps SkyBuddy on the right side of every airline IT policy we’ve reviewed, and keeps you in control of what leaves your work environment. For your own protection, we recommend importing rosters you’ve exported to a personal device or personal email — not screenshots taken on a company-managed device.
Where does my roster go?
Imported rosters are parsed on SkyBuddy’s servers and stored against your account only. We don’t share roster data with third parties, don’t use it for training, and you can wipe your history from Settings → Data at any time. SkyBuddy does not ask for, store, or use airline portal credentials.
Is the app free?
Yes — the app is free.
How does the AI clone learn my voice?
Record a 30-second sample once. The clone learns your cadence and only answers pre-approved questions — ETA, routing, general status. Anything sensitive is queued and surfaced to you the moment you land.
How do buddies get connected?
Send an in-app invite or share a one-time link. Both sides have to confirm — there's no public directory, no scraping, no auto-discovery.
Can observers turn the link off?
Yes - you can revoke any permanent observer link from your account’s menu tab. In addition you can opt for 24h temporary observer links.
